Born Eileen Edwards on August 28, 1965 in Canada, Twain was raised by her mother and step-father in Timmins, Ontario. Being one of five children, Twain found solitude in her guitar and music. Starting at 8 years old, Twain was pulled out of bed at night to sing with the house band at a local club. After loosing her parents in a car accident at 21 and raising her younger siblings, Twain decided to work on her music and head to Nashville.
