Pure Prairie League got its start in Southern Ohio in 1969, playing locally until they eventually signed a deal with RCA. Their first album dropped in 1971 and began to earn the band a loyal following because of their mix of country and rock. Their popularity continued to rise throughout the 1970s and into the 1980s, drawing the crowds to their tour dates.
One of the reasons that Pure Prairie League has been able to remain popular over the years comes from the band's slew of hits. Some of the songs that remain classics even today include "Amie,' "That'll Be the Day," "I Can't Stop The Feelin'," "Let Me Love You Tonight," "Still Right Here In My Heart" and many others. The best way to experience these songs is at one of their live shows.
