The North Dakota State Bison compete in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. During the 2010 season in the MVFC, the
North Dakota State Bison finished third in the conference with a record of 9-5. For the 2011 season, they will be aiming for
the top, but they will have to overcome top teams like Northern Iowa and Western Illinois to get there.
The history of the North Dakota State Bison football program dates back decades, and in that time they have had some pretty
amazing seasons. The North Dakota State Bison have notched multiple national championship wins and have also appeared in bowls
like the Camelia Bowl, Pecan Bowl, Palm Bowl and others. Each season is another chance to add to that NCAA football legacy.
The North Dakota State Bison football team plays all of its home games at the
Fargodome. The Fargodome first opened in 1993 and cost $48 million to contruct. It has a capacity of 18,700 and an artificial
turf playing surface. In addition to hosting the North Dakota State Bison, the Fargodome also books a wide range of events
throughout the year.
