Mercyme came together in 1994 when vocalist Bart Millard (who took up music after two broken ankles rendered him unable to follow in his brother’s footsteps as a football star) travelled to Europe with keyboardist Jim Bryson. They met guitarist Mike Scheuchzer and the trio settled in Oklahoma City where they formed Mercyme. Bassist Nathan Cochran and percussionist Robby Schaffer joined the lineup for the current incarnation, which will be touring to your town soon, so get your Mercyme Tickets quick!
