Though they've received endless comparisons to another French dance act, Daft Punk, Justice has its own unique sound that's very distinct from the better known discotheque princes. Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay formed Justice in Paris in the early 00s, and quickly earned the attention of dance fans after writing a song around the vocals of Simian's "Never Be Alone." It turned into a hit, earning them the opportunity to remix a number of more mainstream bands, including Britney Spears, N.E.R.D. and Franz Ferdinand. Their mix of catchy electronic pop and squalling beats was released on their debut, Cross, in 2007.
