Becoming a pop music success has always taken a couple buckets of blood, sweat and tears. Currensy - or as his name is
formally spelled, Curren$y - has definitely put his time in, earning a label deal in the early '00s, but struggling for years
to earn mainstream notoriety. Finally, his whip-smart rhymes are earning him the attention he deserves. With two albums under
his belt, concert tickets are going to be a
lot easier to sell for the young MC.
Currensy is the working name of Shante Franklin, a New Orleans-raised rapper who scored a label deal in 2003 with Master
P's No Limit Records. Thus began the hard work of his career, leaping from No Limit to Cash Money, and from there to Lil Wayne's
Young Money imprint. A string of underground mixtapes and a hit song, "Where Da Cash At," made this hot hustler big money.
Stocks and bonds go up and down, and gold is pretty but everyone has it. Best to invest in Currensy tickets, watching this
amazing artist turn up the heat on stage and spit rhymes like its no one's business. The release of Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk
II in 2010 made Currensy a much more stable property.
You've heard about this guy Currensy, listened to a few of his songs, and yeah, he's good. Real good. So what now? Look
up above and check out where he will be going on the road this year. If he's coming anywhere near you, you'd better buy tickets before they go off the market.
