Each year, the University of Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State University Beavers football teams gear up for a matchup
called the Civil War. During the 2010 matchup of the Civil War, it ended with the University of Oregon Ducks winning 37-20.
Both teams are going to be out for the win during the 2011 Civil War football game.
The Civil War is most often associated with the fight between the North and South, but in Oregon, it means a matchup between
the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers. The first Civil War football game was held more than a century ago, and the
series has remained close ever since. It often takes place later in the season, adding to the excitement of this NCAA football classic.
The Civil War game alternates between the home venues of the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. For the
Ducks, their home venue is Autzen
Stadium, which has been its home since the 1960s. The Beavers call Reser
Stadium home, and it has been open since the 1950s. It was previously known as Parker Stadium.
Once you have been a part of one Civil War game, you will understand why fans of both schools make a point of coming back
year after year. Whether you are a Ducks fan or a Beavers fan, you will love seeing your favorite team take the field in the
Civil War. Make sure that you act as soon as possible to reserve sports
tickets to this famed event.
