American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird is a master of numerous instruments including the violin, the guitar, the mandolin and the glockenspiel. He first entered the music scene in 1996 and has been releasing albums and singles ever since, some of which have included Music of Hair, Weather Systems and Armchair Apocrypha. His latest is called Noble Beast.
Bird perhaps gets the most recognition from his collaborative work with the musical outfit Squirrel Nut Zippers. He appeared on three of their albums, including Hot, Sold Out and Perennial Favorites.
